GeoDRR News. Erasmus Research Workshop Series 2 Geomatics for Risk Reduction (GeoDRR) and First Educational Study Visit Silesian Technical University, SUT, Poland (15-18 March 2021)

Erasmus Research Workshop Series 2 Geomatics for Risk Reduction (GeoDRR) and First Educational Study Visit have been held remotely by Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland through online on 15-18 March 2021 due to pandemic covid-19 situation during that time which travel to other countries was not allowed. The workshop and educational study visit have been attended by all program and partner institution. SUT, in collaboration with Programme Country partners, contributed to capacity building activities by organizing a study visit in its premises, training academic, administrative and technical staff in Partners Country HEIs. Novel participated in the meeting to provide specialised training to academic, administrative and technical staff of Partner Country HEIs. Topics discussed include teamwork, statistical methods in scientific research, the Basic of GIS, the Basic of QGIS, effective teaching with the use of distance learning methods, Geographical location of object using Global Navigation Satelite Systems and promotion and communication with stakeholders.
