GeoDRR news. In the face of catastrophic large disaster fires, the Greek Government has issued a request to EU countries for support . At approximately 15:00 CET on 19 July 2023, a convoy of the autonomous firefighting module of the Polish Fire Department sets off from Poland. The operational module consists of 49 specialised fire service vehicles and 149 experienced firefighters , mainly from the two Polish provinces. The route will last 3 days and they will begin firefighting operations in Greece in the morning of Friday/Saturday . Stay safe
