Heavy rainfall in Central and Eastern Europe,🌧🌧🌧 especially from September 11-16, 2024, has also caused flooding in Poland.πŸ‡΅πŸ‡± The flood wave🌊🌊🌊 in Poland goes from the border with the Czech Republic,πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ in the southwestern part of Poland. Many homes, villages, towns and cities are flooded.πŸ™ Some bridges have been destroyed, flood barriers and access roads damaged. Some places are cut off by communications and sewerage, electrification and communications are not working. There are deaths of the local population. Flood defenses are underway in major cities such as OΕ‚awa, Nysa and WrocΕ‚aw.πŸ’ͺπŸ‘πŸ™ Mapping is being carried out by Polish government agencies, Copernicus UE and GDACS.
