Cambodia – Malaysia – Philippines, 2024 (ISSSPGeoDRR) was held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 8:45 am to 2:30 pm CET (GMT +2).

The meeting was organized on the zoom.us platform.💻💻💻

Honorary patronage was given by H.E. Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Marek Pawełczyk.

In final, 14 presentations were made, whose authors were 53 students.🙂👍

Problems related to natural disasters covered a wide spectrum of disciplines, including: geomechanics, geotechnics, geography, seismology, hydrology, numerical modeling, graphics analysis, management, numerical modeling, geophysical and geographic information systems, etc.

The meeting was led and coordinated by Krzysztof Tomiczek, PhD, Assist. Prof. at SUT and the meeting was attended by Project Managers, Professors, guests and students. 🙂

It should be noted the high quality and level of knowledge presented in the presentations.👌

We were hit by the problems of communication logistics 😠 related to distance, but the friendly formula of the Symposium (after all, we have known each other for years …) was conducive to a good progress of the Symposium.🙂👍

Thanks to the Participants, the Students and most of all the Student Supervisors for their good work, time and commitment.🙏

See you, we hope, at future meetings!🙂🤝🌅
